but why? because im not with my macbook here in swansea and i feel lost and uncomfortable without it :(

psssstt.. i did baking, heehee..
only a simple brownies but pretty enough for my baking craving :)
this is a brownies recipe from an indonesian baker so in my thought "mom could eat this brownies" since this brownies used vegetable oil not butter.
WRONG! the brownies were nice but not so good, maybe it depends on the cocoa? i ran out of my high-quality dutch processed cocoa and had to use regular-supermarket cocoa, which isnt good..
i forgot the vanilla extract too, duhh!!
i'll give the recipe second kick though..

and all you need for making this brownies are..

*chocolate chips, these are the best chocolate chips i could find in jakarta by the way*

*sugar*

*vegetable oil*

mix them all together for a fudgy and moist brownies..

this probably be my last baking post before im off to my summer vacay :( :D
mom has strongly told me to stop all the baking businesses and start packing. no mercy!
okay, i've stop! but i havent start packing, sorry mom.. i still have a week, yes?

i love nigella lawson, love love love love love sooooo much! i wanna be just like her once im older, she's pretty, talented and an amazing baker. her recipes never fail me.
her vanilla cupcakes or love buns (that's how she called it in her book) is my go-to vanilla cake and so her old-fashioned chocolate cake, my go-to cake too!!

enough talking, lets go to the cupcakes!! the rainbow cupcakes!! sooo pretty rainbow cupcakes topped with royal icing which sounds a bit weird but trust me, once you tasted them, you'll forget buttercream frosting and converted to royal icing for the rest of your life.
well, i have got myself converted, at least...
you cant stand the yumminess and moistness of the cake blended with the crunchyness and sweetness of royal icing.. you just cant stand it!

see? see? i cant focus with my life! i made peanut butter chocolate chip cookies instead of chocolate cherry mini cupcakes like i wrote in my previous post, like i promised!

baby brother bought several packs and brands of chocolate chip cookies this week and he snacked them like crazy, with milk or without milk..
me.. being the forever on diet person of course had to keep this evil inside me from tasting those cookies, i even had to lick one of those cookies, yes, ONLY STICKING MY TONGUE ON IT! and put it back to where my baby brother would eat them :) GROSSSSSS, I KNOW!

i decided to make ones this morning on my way to campus, i rarely eat my baked goodies and maybe by baking ones i could stop the desire of chocolate chip cookies? well, just maybe..
and no, i still craving for chocolate chip cookies, the soft and chewy ones from pepperidge farm if i could :(

alas!

on to the cookies, i got the recipe from a cute cookbook for kids called the greatest cookies and yes, the recipes are pretty good, my go-to chocolate chip cookies come from this book although just like any other cookbooks and life and people, not every of them is good.
like this peanut butter chocolate chip cookies, if you fond for a super peanuty-melt-in-your-mouth cookies, maybe this is the right one.
but its just not for my liking. definitely will never make this cookies again :(

*cream the butter and sugars, just like any other recipes, you start with this dynamic duo*

i never give any damn thing about my assignments, i just do it and dont give any damn little thing about the result... my favorite words? "che sera sera"
but, every semester i have the 'big' assignment which need an extra care, extra effort and extra time..
btw, the 'big' exam is next week aaaaaand... i know i know, i shouldnt even blogging in this crisis time but..well, i love photography (tho' i suck!) more than that as* thing called interior. sooooo, what to say? "im sorry mom?"

my say.. with cinnamon buns! like duhh!?

people, dont you ever eveeeer be someone like me! im a social sucker, i haaaate school and i cant focus with my life.
social sucker? oh yes, why? cant tell you.. sorry.. ;p
haaaates school? owh cute god yes! why? i dont know why.. but i looove skipping classes substitute it with bake something good or not, whatever! or travelling here and there or even just staying in bed all day long, watch dvds and blogging. i love those days!
cant focus with my life? whhhyyyy? this is why.. i've planned to bake classic simple vanilla cupcake with dark chocolate buttercream frosting using my new silicone mini cupcakes liner buuutt last night i just suddenly changed my mind. "i'll bake cinnamon buns, tomorrow, good night." SNAP! just like that. so i browsed for good cinnamon buns recipe using blackberry before bed (yes people, i've replace books with blackberry for my night ritual, its bad, people! its bad!) and found the 'it' recipe in smitten kitchen.
so i went to bed, peacefully..

i worked the buns this morning and i forgot about breakfast nor lunch, goooood
and here's the step by step..

*ingredients*

*spread butter on the rolled dough*

*sprinkling the brown sugar and cinnamon filling*

*roll the rolled out dough*

*cut it evenly, im 'evenly' biggest enemy so i didnt cut it evenly*

so i watched this amazing show called 'equator' on bbc knowledge channel last night, the host were travelling across indonesia, mostly across cities near the equator line and he was sailing to togian island from palu when he sees dolphins, yes, dolphins! jumps around the boat! and im amazed. okay, maybe i dont completely hate my country, maybe its just a love-hate relationship.
i admit it, indonesia is a very beautiful country, nothing can beat indonesia's oceans.
so how about the people? no comment, because now, we the indonesians has lost our freedom to talk or write through internet.

i had a one fine day with my granpop yesterday, he bought me a sundae ice cream and we talked about his old days. when he was young, when he was a civil engineering student, when he dated my grammy and when he only had two pieces of pants.
my grammy came from a wealthy family and my granpop didnt, my grammy paid for all their dates.

do you know that my granpop is now 70 years old and he's one of indonesia's first highway specialists?
yes, he's 70 years old, still working and drives his car brutally.

neapolitan mini cuppies, my version

it was a lazy Saturday morning when i thought about chocolate-covered hi-hat cupcakes, "i want to make it!", so i got up from my too comfort bed and went to the kitch. "okay, what frosting?" that was what i think while I'm standing in front of my refrigerator and my eyes patrolled in it. i only needed a minute of frosting clueless until my eyes laid on a bowl of waiting-to-be-rotten strawberries. "ah-ha! strawberry frosting, good, it'll make a chocolate-covered strawberry alike!!" i literally screamed in my head.
then what cake? chocolate cake? naah! too much chocolate wont do any good. vanilla cake? ordinary vanilla cake? booooriiing (i could hear homer saying that out loud) strawberry cake? so it would match the frosting? noooo, I've made that strawberry cake but it ended up bad, okay it tasted good, but was too dense and wet?! NO! "oh please, this is why i bought those baking books in the first place, to find ideas!" i got furious.
so i went to my bookshelf, browse and find a recipe called 'white mud cake' or white chocolate cake! purrfect!!
vanilla, strawberry and chocolate!! NEAPOLITAN ice cream!

so here's the step-by-step pictures of my version of Neapolitan cupcakes, enjoy!

*the cake ingredients*

*melt together the white chocolate chips, butter, milk and sugar. stir until smooth*

*add egg and vanilla extract*

*gradually add the flour*

*very goooood batter, do you like batter? I DO!*

*in the oven, perfectly dome shaped mini cuppies, good sign perhaps?*

*after oven and cooling*

*frosting ingredients*

*i loooooove strawberry, well, who doesn't?!*

*add the strawberries to plain vanilla buttercream.....*

*and voila! a very yummy and fluffy strawberry frosting, am i good or what?!*

*perfectly cooled and ready to be frosted*

old camera, oh cute god i love vintage camera and cant get enough of them, well, i basically love camera and cant get enough of them. i el-ow-vee-ee passer baroe or one of jakarta's loveliest thrift markets. this is the place where i can find lot of old cameras, cheap camera equipments and films, those means that "mom, drive me to passer baroe and dont forget to loads your wallet with rupiahs!". i also heart those jalan sabang's photo shops, yeah, because they sell many many many like maaaany old cameras!
do i love photography? oh yes cute god i do, but its just because i love camera..

this week has involved many of my most most favorite city in the whole world, rome..
i watched angels and demons on monday aaaaand kept poking mom's arm for no reason, i just miss that city..
aaaand also last night's champions league final is in rome, titled roma finale 2009, i cannot stop saying that 'roma finale' words with italian accent, you know.. italian accent is the sexiest accent.. tho' MU lost and it breaks my heart and im still mourning but seeing the ads (yes, not the game..the game filled with hot men and world class football skills, nothing about rome!)..
the roma finale (dont forget, with italian accent!) ads made me smiles.. made me browse my old photo archives :(

Mom teaches me that things will never goes wrong as long you have your sunglasses on, you can dressed as ugly as you could but your sunglasses will always save you. Also remember our favorite socialite girl, holly golightly? Remember how she had her wayfarer on even when she was reading in a library!?

Few days ago I was lazing on my bed, watched local channel and ridiculous show when I saw a local rockstar wore rayban clubmaster and I was like “golly xmen! He wears clubmaster! No way!” does it mean that the club master has finnaly arrived in indonesia? The next day I rushed myself to a sunglasses store where mom uses to buy hers. I checked all sunglasses under rayban section there and found nothing about clubmaster then I asked the shop keeper and she said that “no, clubmaster hasn’t here yet”
I went home with wrinkled forehead!
When I told tonang a.k.a my brother about this whole clubmaster story, he said that probably that local rockstar got his not from Indonesia or the worst, that local rockstar’s clubmaster is fake! (golly! tonang seriously has the meanest mouth!)
I decided to wait patiently just like how I’ll wait for my hot pink doc martens..

I'm a chicken, I got chickened very easy.. I always stayed in the line, rarely cross it and my mom always makes sure that I'm staying in the line not to say that I'm a freedomless person whatsoever.. Im simply not a wild one..
don't mean to bragging around but I do have my very own car, a simple city car for young people around my age..with my birth year as the number, surprisingly my parent wouldn't let me drive it since the first time the car arrived in the garage..they says I'm not responsible enough and mostly they says that I can't drive..
So yesterday, I told my mom that I'm in a very high boring mood and I need to go out but the driver wasn't able to drive me.. So I screamed and shouted about how I wish I could drive my car everywhere.. And mom said "please do, do try to drive your car and show me that you 'can' drive, its your own car afterall"
HAA so I took the key, walked to the garage, opened the door, turned on the machine and drove! I drove the car out from my house.. O yeah sister and I was gooooood!
But after a few 'inches' from my house, the parent plus my brothers came out and wonderfully freaked out, they were screaming and told me to go back! They freaked out, literally!
So I drove back into the garage, out from the car, gave them my sweetest-ass smile and "told you guys I can drive!"

yeah, im a tough swimmer, though i dont like sport (does watching football and footballers count?) and never work out but watersport is a different thing, you could leave me alone in a beach and i'll be thankful, you could throw me to the ocean and i'll survive.. never went to any swim practice whatsoever and nobody taught me..i think its just in my blood..
okay, so why does i blah-ing about that? bleh..
went to my elementary school pre-reunion and met bunch of old friends (obviously!)..
and no picture of me because i think its photographer's destiny to be always behind the viewfinder (okay, actually there're few pictures of me but those just bad..i dont like it!) and you know what, i only wore shorts and loose sweater so no need to show you the outfit..

days later..
oh my favorite outfit of the month.. of course i didnt bring the guitar or the bass out, i just used it as photoshoot equipment and those music instrument were provided by my baby brother, the rocker of my family..

hi, back to blogging..errr actually I'm blogging from my blackberry now, on my bed and under my comfy comfy comfy blanket..

there are many nights when all i think about is how i feel so much like monica geller, of course before she lost her weights! fat, love to cook and surrounded by thunder stealer people.. and when she finally shouted it out to rachel about how rachel always steals her thunder.. i was like "great monica!"..

im in my dad's hometown now, using the hotel's way too expensive wifi and thinking about how the road trip with my cousin's children tomorrow will bother me (i hate kids!)..

HAHA! here i am enjoying krispy kreme's manhattan oreo and their free hotspot, cursing my damn-bitchface lecturer, wondering about guys and how lovely (clueless!) they are.. sigh! many things happened to me.. got panic attack on my final exam, met old friend and declared him as my guilty pleasure guy, getting closer with my too childish guy and finally wore my UGGS wannabe boots out.. (and got insulted which is i trully understand why..why? its because i live in indonesia godamit!)
start from last saturday night, this is what i wore to my family's early chinese new year dinner (no we didnt celebrate chinese new year!) and my junior high reunion..

its a final exams season in my house, mean my brothers are going to have their final exams in few months aaaaand dad has decided that he's going to cut the internet connection in my house.. if he didnt do that, brothers would only sticking their eyes to the computer screen all day long and forget to study (thanks god now im in college!!)
so i think, updating this blog would be a bit hard since i have to find good hotspot (uploading pictures need a reeeeally good hotspot!) and bring my suppah biggah laptop and so on.. and also i'll miss blog walking :-(..once i start blogwalking, nobody can stop me and it means 'a free 24 hour hotspot, please!!'

me and my mom kinda having a cold war..seriously! the problem is.. she asked me to go out and buy a bread for my brother but i was too lazy to change clothes, leave the internet and so on.. so she got angry with me! it happened about two days ago and now things are looking good from outside but we both know that things are still bad between us!
hah, forget it!! not your (you all readers! (hah, like i have readers?!)) business by the way..

sooooooo, dad just bought nikon d300 and i kinda stole the lens, hehehehe.. so now we exchange our lenses, he use mine and i use his.. honestly, i dont really know the code for the lenses but as far i know, mine is 18-135 and his is 18-200 and it means that his lens's got a longer zoom (huh?)..whatever..

what i've been doing lately?? thinking and thinking about my assignments and also the exams but do nothing.. thinking and thinking about anderson and how i love him (i think im going crazy!).. but that's it!!
also.. i watched australia and fall in love with that movie (i sooo got hugh jackman'd!)..

a bit personal story - there's this guy and we went to the same primary school, junior high, high school and now we're in the same university even the same faculty.. what a coincidence, huh?! i didnt know him well before the university, i always thought that he's a cool guy who doesnt communicate well with girls..but i changed my mind when i got to know him well this past few months, he's such a funny guy and a bit childish..i think i like him but the problem is he's never been involve in a relationship for his whole life (i even think that he doesnt know how to get involve in a relationship) sooooo.. i thought i'll make a move and asked him out for movie (via messenger)

me: have you watch bedtime stories?
childish guy: no..is it good? what's the story about?
me: havent watch it yet.. adam sandler is in the movie so it must be a funny one

dear..
its new year and i have to back to my nutritionist after months of escape (actually, im going to meet a new one, not my old nutritionist).. so please pray for me.. because its gonna be hard hard time!
i actually have much and much of things to do in 2009 and as always, im renewing my lists every new year..
but before i go there.. here are my pictures from 1st january, do not hope to see a partay-cool-and-glam pictures whatsoever because i spent the new year with sleeping.. yeah, i slept at 10 o'clock! what a lame!

but on top of all is to loving myself as who i am.. so what if im not skinny? so what if im not smart? so what if im more mature than my mom? so what if i loved baking? so what if im not pretty? so what if i prefer movie than music? so what if im an introvert person? so what if have a bad personality (ouukay, not this one) the truth is.. i never love even like myself.. NEVER!! so thats the most important thing to do in 2009..to love myself..
also i have to become a worryless-positive thinking person.. because really, i worried too much..

yeah.. what is it??? what is it with indonesian people..
beware.. this is a blah-blah-blah post and you might get boring while you reading it..
okay, im a big-plus size-fat bottomed girl-whatsoever (you can browse my old post and see how plus size i am!) but come on...... im not a giant!! (or maybe i am but i just cannot realize it!?)
but....... yeah, my bottom is huge, its bigger that it should be.. its just too much and im a tall-tall girl, only 172 cm but its pretty tall for an indonesian girl, many people mistaken me as a foreigner..
enough about 'me' introduction..
lets start about indonesian people and their manner-less mouth.. it seems like they cannot passing me by without make a comment about me or make an unfunny jokes.. they makes me feel so dirty so sinful and so wrong about my body..
its like..being fat or large or plus size is just like being a monster.. it makes you sooo different, sooo unlikeable..
they always see me physically.. they forget about my personality..

okay, im a bad girl.. not 'bad' like smoking, partying and drinking all nite kinda girl but more like grumpy, angry, cryer and spoiled one..
i just cant take it when someone commenting about how wide is my bottom or when they comparing me to my mom, mom has that curvy sexy but sporty body in her 40s plus a younger look and gorgeous hair and its not only because im her daughter so i said those things but its true! she always attracting people (especially men!) around her.. she only wears jeans and tee and no make up but people gives him so much compliment about how young she looks.. and when it comes to "ooowh, you look so young, i thought you are your daughter's sister!" or "who's the mother and who's the daughter??" or "wow, you are much bigger than your mom!"..
COME ON! is it wrong to be bigger than your mom? its the GENE!! my great grandmother for mom's side had a very wide bottom and she was fat, her grandmother was a dutchwoman.. and my grandmother from dad's side had a very sexy rather big breast and her husband a.k.a my grandfather was reeeeaaally tall about 190 cm... thanks god im only 172 cm!!
man never looks at me.. they always has their eyes for a skinny girl even though that girl is not pretty..

i eats just a small portion (except when mom is cooking or im in japanese restaurant) and those people cannot believe it..
but seriously... i dont eat too much, my only problem is only lazyness.. i hate sport (but i loove football especially footballers!) or gym whatsoever.. and i loooove sleeping where i could get away from those people who always insulting me and cannot give me a freedom to wear whatever i want or always giving me that weirdo freaking look... like im a giant!!
once, a classmate asked me about my pants size.. "what size or did you have it tailored?" duhh! i got really angry and that time and i just replied "my pants is not even the biggest size!" they cannot stop their mouth and become seriously curious about my size or weight.. im not even the fattest or biggest girl..

please.. let me live in peace, im not a tough person who make fun of myself when im getting a bad comment.. im a cryer.. i cries and having a seriously bad mood when im getting one..
please, indonesian people.. stop that manner-less mouth..stop that unfunny jokes about fat girl.. stop..just stop...

basically.. this is what i do.. drawing, colouring, cutting, sticking and buying a lot of expensive stationery or books..
i love that part..yeah! but not the deadlines part or when i have to sketch like 50 models of chair or redo an assignment after spent like a weeks of doing that!!
so these are what i did yesterday morning... and approved by the lecturer!

and my morning hot chocolate.. i have thousand of reasons to drinks it starts from using the chocolate as stomach coating (silly!) but the chocolate just addicting!!

really, i have nothing, nada, zero, zip to do this weekend.. mom and dad is in bali island and they told me to look after my brothers while they're gone.. friends are going to watch screamfest (scary movies festival!) and of coz i cant go with 'em.. sigh!!
i decided to play with my shrek's ears and also try on the outfit for my next outing (when mom and dad already home)..

rice cracker and the simpsons dvd has been my greatest friends this weekend, whatever!
sooooo, mom called me from bali yesterday and she told me that she met a bunch of indonesia models in airplane who all were using blackberry (those indonesian models according to my mom are actually not really tall, i even taller than them!! they just so skinny thats what make them look tall!) o yeah, now everybody in indonesia got crazy about blackberry (they even give blackberry a nickname, BB!)... i obsessed with blackberry ever since i saw paris hilton usin it way back in 2006 and after that i kept asking my mom for blackberry and as you can guess, she wont let me have it because im not that mobile to have a blackberry.. sigh! but..... now i own a nokia which look almost just like blackberry..

hahahahha.. and now when blackberry is so happening in indonesia i just lose the appetite for blackberry!! sigh sigh!!

ps: i really really gotten chubbier.. i gained like 7 kilograms!!

just like coco's tea party and every other girls.. my favo high school movie is clueless and also i love wish upon a star (i started watch those teen movies since i was 8 years old and after that i too started begging my father for a walk in closet just like cher's!)..
so when i was choosing clothes from my teeny weeny closet today, i saw a black checkers skirt which reminded me of cher's and dionne's in the movie... added a knee-high socks and.... TADA!
without jacket....emmmm.. not bad..
and with jacket... i really dunno!!
hahahaha... i miss cher.. so lets comparing..

soooo.. i read about coco sumner in gogirl mag (where diana from hot chocolate and mint got a page for herself) and i fell in love with her.. before, i only knew 'that' coco sumner as sting's daughter but not her style or her hair...

okay, i heard this 'hectic' word today from my classmate (she now using a blackberry which is very very very happening in jakarta now!!) and i kinda think that this is the rite word for what i've been thru today..
yessss.. i had to go around jakarta just to find a lab that could process my BW films, there was always something in every place start from when the 'person' was taking rest and then the other place ran out of paper and then more other place has to close their shop tomorrow because there will be a culture festival (hmmm..i kinda want to visit the fest)....
come on.. i have the exam on monday!!! well, but i finally found a lab.. on 8 pm!!
oya, another thing.. i had a stomach problem plus..mom got mad with me about several times (im certainly not her favo child today!)..
sigh 1000X!!

friends said that i did a beautiful job.... but i wont be so sure before the result come out..

a lunch box has been my biggest obsession, but since there's no such thing like tin lunch box here in indonesia the obsession has become bigger especially after i watched pursuit of happyness and saw how cute will smith's son's lunch box was..

here indonesia they only have 'lunch bag' not 'lunch box'!! so when i saw this lock&lock lunch box in a supermarket a week ago, i got soooo extremely happy (well, its still not a tin)..well i actually used it once as a 'lunch box' but then i found out that the box is fit perfectly for my film rolls and today i again found out that the box could be my perfect purse.. it fits all my things like wallet, cell, pocket cam, DS, pen and... two or three film rolls..hmmmmm..

sooo i decided to painted the box with my two favo flags, french and italy..

turned out good and i just love it more!!!

yeah, this kinda like previous post's part II.. even before what my mom said in previous post, i've been thinking about what im going to do after college and i've decided to go to milan and get into istituto marangoni the most famous fashion school in italy, the institute has been the ‘launch platform’ for a series of world renowned names such as Domenico Dolce, Stefano Gabbana, franco moschino and so many other names... okay that's what makes me live safely through this interior disaster.. the picture of me live and study in milan..

but okay... you know that i've abandoning my lectures for this past few weeks (and trust me, i've failed few of 'em!!) and it makes me thing about whats going to happen... will i ever make it??

the istituto marangoni i mean.. other problem.. the institute is way too expensive!!

so my second choice is istituto di moda burgo, its cheaper than istituto marangoni but less famous of course..

oooowh..i dont know what to do.. i shouldnt think of choices of my next school before i fix this lazyness!!

went to local mall near my house with family and and and.. have i told you that one of my favorite places is toy store.. o yeah sister i love it so much!
i wish i could buy all the things there (the girl section only!!).. my cousins (a 14 months old boy and a 5 year old girl) from england came to indonesia months ago and they are heading back to england tomorrow. since i was my mom's only one little girl and now im not a little girl anymore.. she'd buy anything in the toy store for this little girl cousin of mine..
mom bought her a cooking play set and the dinner set with an agreement of that she'll leave the toys here in indonesia and my mom will keep it for her so when she come back here again after few years she cand play with it.
